5 FACTS ABOUT MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE (MOTF)

➊ In July 2021, National Geographic ranked MOTF fifth on the list of Top 14 Most Beautiful Museums in the World.

➋ The concept of the museum includes three key ideas:

➤ The green hill on which the museum stands symbolizes earth, sustainability

➤ The oval building – knowledge, humanity with its strength and creativity

➤ The void – the unknown, the future into which the museum allows you to look

➌ Is one of the most technically complex buildings of our time.

The MOTF is built without columns. Its façade consists of 1,024 unique steel plates created using advanced digital technology.

➍ The windows are in the form of Arabic calligraphy applied in three dimensions to the curved façade.

14,000 meters of inscriptions glow in the dark. They are based on quotes from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum about the future of Dubai.

➎ Inside – capsule lifts, sensory walls, robotic assistants.

An interactive exposition is dedicated to innovations in bioengineering, space exploration, healthcare, etc. The last floor is created for children.

➤ $25,000 per year for a 2-bedroom apartment

"The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it...” reads one of the quotes on the facade of the museum.
